About The Position

The Ridge Foothill Activity Director:  Lead the Team.  Elevate the Program.  Enrich Residents' Lives. The Ridge Foothill is looking for a strong Activity Director who can lead a dynamic department and create meaningful experiences for the residents who call our community home. This role is perfect for a leader who isn’t afraid to set clear expectations, hold a team accountable, and inspire staff to do their best work—all while ensuring our residents enjoy engaging, purposeful, and fun daily programming.

Requirements

  • Is a confident leader who can manage a team with different personalities and work styles
  • Is comfortable setting expectations and addressing performance issues when needed
  • Has strong organizational and communication skills
  • Is energetic, creative, and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors
  • Can balance compassion for residents with accountability for staff performance
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where every day is different

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading activities or life enrichment in senior living, assisted living, or memory care
  • Prior supervisory or department leadership experience
  • Experience planning events, outings, and recreational programming
  • A genuine passion for working with older adults

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Community Life (Activities) team
  • Create and maintain a vibrant, well-organized activities program that meets the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents
  • Ensure activities are delivered consistently and at a high level of service and quality
  • Coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance and participation
  • Plan events, outings, and special programs that residents truly look forward to
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a warm, engaging community environment
  • Maintain schedules, calendars, and documentation for activities programming
