Position: Full-Time Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, dependent on experience Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Must be available to work weekends, holidays and assist with shift coverage as needed. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening in accordance with applicable state and federal law, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Requirements

  • Activity Director Certification Required or obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum 6 months experience preferred in a long-term care setting or Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
  • Familiarity with Title 22 and SNF documentation requirements preferred
  • Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to read, speak and write English to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff
  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching and squatting involved
  • Must be able to push residents in wheelchairs
  • Must meet the general health requirements, including physical exam and TB clearance (annual requirements)

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and assist with activities as directed by the Recreation Therapy Supervisor, in accordance with residents’ individualized care plans
  • Support activity programming that meets Title 22 and SNF regulatory requirements
  • Observe, monitor and document resident participation and behavior accurately and timely in the medical record
  • Escort residents to and from activity program and assist with mobility as needed
  • Assist with organizing, scheduling, and planning on-site and off-site activity outings
  • Maintain activity areas, supply closets and office areas in an organized manner
  • Provide supplies to support residents’ independent leisure activities
  • Collaborate with inter-disciplinary team members to promote resident engagement and quality of life
