Requirements

Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross; Current employees must obtain by January 1, 2025.
Valid Florida driver's license
Activity Director Certification eligible/completed.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Minimum two years' experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services to a frail or elderly population within the past 5 years.
Skilled in arts and crafts.
Perform time management and organizational skills.
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times with others.
Excellent communication; via phone, in person and email.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Must be flexible to work in other locations if needed.
Certification of completion of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Training through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.

Responsibilities

Participation in the IDT Meeting: Roll Call, organization of schedule, how to view schedules in PS, how to add participants to schedule and present to IDT, how to view care plans in PL and present care plan information as needed as related to Recreational Therapy.
Take responsibility to ensure calendar activities are implemented by all Day Center staff.
Lead activities and assist in developing activity calendar.
Document care, observations and interventions.
Coordinate activities in the Day Center in the absence of the Recreational Therapist.
