About The Position

The Activity Coordinator at Prairie City Landing is responsible for creating and facilitating engaging activities for residents in Memory Care. This role emphasizes the importance of providing a rich living experience for seniors, promoting physical and mental stimulation, social engagement, and lifelong learning. The position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents through various activities and support in daily living tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience interacting and providing care for seniors is highly preferred.
• Ability to pass applicable licensing and background requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work Sunday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan, direct, coordinate, and manage events and activities for residents.
• Promote rich living experiences that align with the 'Successful Aging' philosophy.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including housekeeping, meal service, personal laundry, and personal care tasks.
• Observe residents for safety and report any changes in condition to the Memory Care Director.
