About The Position

The Activity Center Assistant Leader – Outdoor/Nature Programs & Camps duties will include but not be limited to: Supervision of participants (youth or adult) involved in programs and camps. Provide manual labor for programs, camps and events. Assist with preparing and implementing of age-appropriate outdoor nature-based and/or environmental-themed based activities for programs, camps, and events. Assist with preparing and implementing of age-appropriate outdoor recreational programs such as kayaking, archery, hiking and fishing programs. Assist with managing and maintaining of equipment and supplies. Adhere to program, camp and event safety protocols. Respond and follow procedures in emergency situations. Support positive youth development and empower youth. Create an environment which is inclusive for all participants. Maintain confidentiality of participants, employees, and organization information. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers in both written and oral forms. Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
