About The Position
Activity Bus Driver/Substitute Bus Driver 2025-2026 Description: This position is on an as-needed basis. Activity Driver transports students to and from school and related functions in a safe and timely manner. Inspects and maintains the school bus to ensure proper operating condition.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be licensed in accordance with Missouri statutes
- Requires 2-5 years of job-related prior experience
Responsibilities
- Transporting students to and from school and related functions in a safe and timely manner
- Inspecting and maintaining the school bus to ensure proper operating condition
- Interacting with students, parents and school personnel
- Operation of school bus on routes and activity trips
- Interprets routes and maps
- Anticipates and analyzes road conditions and hazards
- Will be trained by Transportation Department prior to being placed on the job.
