About The Position

Flamingo Adventures, located within The Everglades National Park, is now hiring Activity Booth Attendants for our newly opened Lodge and Restaurant! The Activity Booth Attendant is responsible for selling boat tour tickets, assisting with the rental of kayaks, canoes, and bicycles, and receiving money from and disbursing money to customers while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times. We operate 2 large campgrounds, Eco Tents, and a full-service Marina. We have RV sites with full hookups for $25 (per person) per week and dorm style housing for $50 per week. Sorry, space is very limited. You must work here and be available for full-time hours to live on property. We have both seasonal and year round options available. Pay: $14.00/hour. Year round team members will also be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and more!

Requirements

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Excellent sanitation habits
• Professional appearance
• Ability to communicate and attend to guests with the highest standard of service
• Ability to pass cash handling training
• Problem sensitivity and the ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management

Responsibilities

• Sell boat tour tickets
• Assist with the rental of kayaks, canoes, and bicycles
• Receive and disburse money to customers
• Maintain a high level of customer service
• Identify items and corresponding cost of items and accurately use cash register or calculator
• Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers accurately
• Maintain register and its contents
• Turn in cash drawer and sales reconciliation at shift's end
• Greet customers and answer their questions
• Provide information on company products, promotions, and policies
• Maintain clean and orderly cash station area
• Stock and maintain sales area with various supplies and products
• Assist with launching and bringing in kayaks and canoes as needed
• Assist dock hands
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them to management
