Tel Hai has a wonderful opportunity for an Activity Assistant to join our Meadows Health Care Center team in meeting the social and recreational needs of our residents. This is a full time position working 64 hours/2 weeks including every other weekend and holiday. Off Mondays and Wednesdays. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to speak/lead activities of large groups.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
- Previous experience with individuals that have cognitive deficits (such as Alzheimer's) is preferred.
- Music, art, fitness, educational, or activity experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develops activities and plans & implements a daily schedule of programs and activities for residents.
- Conducts one on one visits and small group activities.
- Assists residents to and from meals and activities.
- Provides nourishment and hydration to residents.
- Assists at mealtime with feeding residents.
