The Activity Assistant supports the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing programs that promote residents’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Plan and lead daily activities such as: Games (bingo, cards, puzzles) Arts and crafts Exercise or movement sessions Music and entertainment Encourage resident participation and engagement Assist residents to and from activity areas (may involve wheelchairs/walkers) Provide one-on-one interaction for residents unable to join group activities Help decorate for holidays and special events (e.g., Christmas, Thanksgiving) Set up and clean up activity spaces Document attendance and residents’ responses to activities Support special events, outings, and family visits Follow safety and infection control procedures
