Services are provided under the direction of the Vocational Director with participation of the family and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as indicated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Each day brings something
  • You must be able to work non-standard, flexible hours

  • Ability to deliver ideas, thoughts, concerns, and praise verbally and/or in
  • Passion to make a difference in others' lives each day you come into work
  • Compassion and empathy are a must when understanding clients' needs and concerns
  • Loves to stay connected all day, every day through cell phone and email (except when on paid time off - take some time and disconnect)
  • Expert
  • You must be willing and able to take a ride in your vehicle to carry out tasks
  • Computer savvy with the ability to utilize the following applications: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as using the Internet for research
  • Ability to represent the company professionally and in its best interests to internal and external customers
  • Strong teamwork and leadership
  • You're on a cohesive team, and your voice needs to be heard
  • Driving between NeuLife residential homes, vocational programs, and community locations
  • Exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions when traveling between NeuLife locations
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach without restrictions
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist with emergency evacuations when necessary
  • May require evening, weekend, or holiday availability

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization in Behavioral Health and/or TBI preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals' needs through observations, medical records, tests, and talking with other healthcare professionals, patients' families, and patients
  • Follow treatment plans and programs that meet patients' needs and interests
  • Plan and implement interventions and rehabilitative activities
  • Engage patients in therapeutic activities, such as functional skill development
  • Help patients learn social skills needed to become or remain independent
  • Teach patients about ways to cope with anxiety or depression
  • Record and analyze individuals' progress by thorough documentation based on the goals and objectives established
  • Evaluating interventions for effectiveness
  • Listen to the individuals' concerns and requests
  • Must be compassionate and have a friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are required
  • Other tasks as assigned
