Charleston House Memory Care , a part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is looking for a wonderful Activity Assistant . We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record. Shift and Scheduling: 9:00am to 5:00pm(Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every other weekend schedule)

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of our residents
• Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus every day
• Help design programs to encourage socialization
• Provide entertainment, relaxation, fulfillment, and improve daily living skills
• Prepare and maintain reports on residents' progress
• Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
