About The Position

The Department of Recreational Services is seeking student staff help to create a welcoming and safe environment in the Recreation Center, including weight room attendants for the winter semester. Shifts may be early mornings, days or evenings, weekdays or weekends, depending on availability.

Requirements

• Must be a current UM-Flint student
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certification

Nice To Haves

• Have current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• Work study award for current of upcoming academic semester

Responsibilities

• Providing on-site supervision of the weight room to ensure patron safety
• Light cleaning and regular checks of the cardio room and indoor track
• Greet patrons and assist with providing answers to questions
• Enforcement of facility policies
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
