About The Position

Join our dedicated team as an Activity Aide and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are seeking compassionate and energetic individuals who enjoy engaging with others and creating a positive, lively environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors or individuals requiring supportive activities.

Position is full-time Monday-Friday also rotating one weekend a month, hours are 8:00am-4:30pm

Excellent benefit package provided after 60 days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs
• Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging others in meaningful activities
• Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, complying with safety standards
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and completed high school or obtained the equivalent of a high school education
• Must be able to positively deal with the public
• Must possess or have the capacity to acquire knowledge of applicable regulations governing the development and implementation of an effective activities program
• Must possess the ability to speak to and be understood by residents and staff, and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Must possess an agreeable and helpful attitude toward senior adults.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational and social activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
• Assist residents in participating in activities, providing encouragement and support
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities
• Collaborate with team members and family members to develop personalized activity plans
• Monitor and document residents' participation and responses to activities
• Ensure activity areas are clean, organized, and well-prepared for upcoming events
