About The Position

Activities Aide Valley View Retirement Community Part-Time • 8AM - 4PM • 6 days per pay period • Rotating weekends & holidays Valley View is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Aide to support programs that enrich the social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and recreational lives of our residents in our Memory Care area. In this meaningful role, you will help plan and lead engaging activities while encouraging participation and enhancing overall well-being. What You’ll Do Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident activity programs Encourage resident participation in recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual activities Observe and document resident attendance, mood, behavior, and level of engagement Report and chart observations to support resident care planning and progress evaluation Participate in community planning related to resident interests, services, and family needs Interview residents and family members to gather activity preferences and background information Support a welcoming, respectful, and engaging environment for all residents Perform additional related duties as assigned What You Bring Compassion for working with older adults and supporting quality of life Creativity, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to observe, document, and communicate resident behaviors and needs Dependability and willingness to work as part of a team-focused environment Commitment to the mission and values of Valley View Why Join Valley View?
