The Activity Aide provides one-to-one leisure activities and documents as needed. Documents patient activities on medical record as required by State and Federal laws and policy and procedures. Communicates behavioral observation regarding patients to other disciplines. Demonstrates knowledge and competence in all department specific policies and standards. Maintains a safe and neat working environment. Responsible for evening and weekend programs as needed. Coordinates the activities program with other services in the facility, attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services as assigned. Observe patient 1:1, through line-of-sight, or conduct rounds as needed. Assist and leads groups appropriate to the needs of the patients. Performs related duties as assigned. Assist in keeping unit boards and schedules updated. Works in a collaborative manner with the nursing department and other hospital departments. Maintains activity supplies for the units.
