About The Position

The Activities Supervisor at Diversicare Healthcare Services is responsible for coordinating and directing recreation programs tailored to meet the specific needs of residents. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Long-term experience preferred.
• SSD/AD certification.
• Interest in people and ability to instruct and communicate with residents.
• Ability to direct and perform a variety of activities and respond to varied needs of residents.
• Imagination and creativity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating, directing, and planning recreation programs to meet residents' needs.
• Develop and coordinate activity programs.
• Plan and implement a monthly activity calendar.
• Provide one-on-one programming for residents unable to participate in group settings.
• Participate in the review of individual Residents' Care Plans and document activity progress quarterly or upon significant changes.
• Coordinate quarterly special events involving residents, families, and friends.
• Familiarize with the Adult Care Home Residents' Bill of Rights and assist residents in exercising these rights.
