Our Core Values : Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence. 💡 What You’ll Do As the Activities Supervisor, you’ll oversee and inspire a team that creates daily opportunities for residents to stay active, social, and fulfilled. From planning special events and outings to coordinating personalized activities that reflect each resident’s interests, your work will directly impact the quality of life for everyone who calls Brendan House home. You’ll also ensure our activities program runs smoothly by supervising staff, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and coordinating with other departments to keep our environment safe, lively, and welcoming.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Long Term Care setting .
  • One (1) year of leadership experience .
  • Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities .
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • National Certification Council for Activity Professionals Certification (NC CAP) preferred or training to be completed within first year of hire.
  • Heart Saver AED CPR certification preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision, mentoring, and support to assigned staff and activity areas.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive calendar of activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Complete resident assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with CMS regulations and departmental standards.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, hiring, and onboarding .
  • Communicate departmental objectives effectively and ensure services reflect the mission and philosophy of Brendan House.
  • Monitor budget and resources responsibly.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance as scheduled.
