About The Position

The Activities Manager at Hyatt Vacation Club is responsible for staffing and training within the Activities and Concierge Departments. This role ensures that staff are knowledgeable about property facilities and daily events. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.50 and includes a $1000 sign-on bonus, with $500 payable at 60 days of employment and the remaining $500 at 90 days. The manager must be available to work on weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in recreation/health club operations or a related professional area.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Activities Team and ensure staff is trained on all brand standard operating procedures.
• Administer and ensure employee adherence to corporate and local SOPs.
• Strive to meet the five goals of the property: guest satisfaction, profitability, sanitation, job safety, and employee satisfaction.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in all safety and emergency procedures.
• Foster teamwork and communication among different departments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of daily events, property facilities, and points of interest.
• Monitor and direct concierge, boats, Kids Klub, and guest experience.
• Create, organize, and implement activities for all age ranges.
• Act as a liaison between resort outlets/activities and guests.
• Ensure clean, well-stocked, and organized work areas.
• Manage departmental budgets, including wages and controllable expenses.
• Provide constructive coaching and counseling to employees.
• Support the development, training, and mentoring of employees.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
