About The Position

As an Activities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the Activities department’s equipment and outdoor spaces to provide an exceptional experience for guests. You will work closely with the Activities team and other departments to maintain the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest service. You will also be responsible for: Maintaining and repairing various recreational equipment including jon boats, trolling motors, clay throwers, shotguns, rifles, archery gear, bicycles, and trails, ensuring all items are in top condition for guest use. Assisting with maintenance and upkeep of outdoor spaces and areas associated with the Activities department. Supporting Guides by preparing gear and equipment for daily activities, ensuring all is in excellent working order. Working flexible shifts as needed within the Activities department, including duties related to Lake Attendant and Fish House functions. Executing assigned tasks, projects, and chores as directed by Activities Management. Providing the highest level of Guest Services by remaining alert, approachable, and helpful, ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous attention. Adhering to Ted Turner Reserves’ established standards for quality, presentation, and guest interaction, consistently maintaining an excellent experience for all visitors. Remaining up to date with the latest first aid, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Ensuring compliance with all applicable New Mexico laws and regulations. Keeping guest service vehicles and equipment clean, well-maintained, and ready for use at all times. Communicating guest feedback to leadership to help improve service quality and operations. Proactively supporting other departments and contribute to the overall success of the team. Performing other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the operation.

Requirements

  • Proficient in equipment and trail maintenance, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong driving background with expertise in off-road travel and safety is essential.
  • A passion for the outdoors and enthusiasm for supporting guest experiences in nature.
  • This position requires operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance provider.
  • You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Background in target activities preferred, including fishing (fly and/or spin), hiking, mountain biking, archery, and shooting sports.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience working in a luxury hospitality setting.
