About The Position

The Activities Director at Sun City Senior Living is responsible for planning and coordinating a variety of activities that cater to the diverse needs of residents. This role aims to create a stimulating and positive atmosphere through leisure activities that address the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of the community's residents.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • First Aid Certification
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, plan, implement and evaluate a well-rounded and stimulating holistic activity program that addresses the needs and limitations of residents.
  • Assess the needs of the residents and observe when a resident's needs have changed to create an updated activity plan.
  • Design and post creative monthly bulletin boards and activities calendar.
  • Lead large group activities such as discussion groups, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes.
  • Help manage the facilities volunteer program.
  • Manage staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs while adhering to the approved budgets.
