About The Position

The Activities Director at Great Plains Post Acute Care is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Design and manage monthly activity schedules, including group activities, resident outings, and in-room programming for those with limited mobility.
• Foster communication among residents, families, staff, and community partners to support resident needs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and participate in facility surveys and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing care plans, assessments, and discharge planning related to activities.
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies and self-initiated interests by providing necessary materials and support.
• Document activity plans and residents' responses accurately in progress notes.
