About The Position
As the Recreation Director at Civita Care Center at Long Ridge, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and therapeutic activities. This full-time position requires a self-motivated and upbeat Recreation Therapist who is passionate about planning, organizing, and directing recreational therapy programs. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents, ensuring that each individual can participate in activities that promote their well-being and happiness. In this role, you will work closely with residents at their bedside, engaging them in specially designed activities that are tailored to their interests and abilities. You will also assist in the transportation of residents to various areas where programs are conducted, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. Documentation is a key aspect of this position, as you will be responsible for recording resident participation and progress in recreational activities, which is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of the programs and making necessary adjustments.
