Requirements

• Strong organizational abilities for effective schedule management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in recreational program planning or implementation.
• Familiarity with discharge planning and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the activity programs of the facility.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate activities and resident progress.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and provide necessary materials.
• Conduct individual and/or group sessions to promote self-esteem and reality orientation.
• Participate in discharge planning and development of activity care plans.
• Interview residents and families to gather information for planning activities.
• Ensure all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of services provided.
• Assist in the recommendation of necessary department equipment and supplies.
• Transport or escort residents to and from activities and external trips.
