As an Activities Coordinator, you will design and deliver engaging, resident-centered programming that enriches daily life, fosters connection, and supports the overall well-being of those we serve. Develop, implement, and oversee campus recreational programming that enhances the social, occupational, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical well-being of residents. Welcome new residents, introduce them to the activity program, assess individual interests and needs, and collaborate with neighborhood and activity staff to create personalized activity plans. Coordinate, produce, and distribute monthly activity calendars for residents in Nursing. Plan, organize, and facilitate group activities, parties, special events, and community outings. Coordinate campus holiday decorations with assistance from staff. Procure and manage supplies and materials for seasonal crafts, recreation, and scheduled activities; maintain shopping lists for activity supplies and resident personal needs as necessary. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including quarterly activity documentation, care plans, attendance records, and one-on-one interactions. Attend weekly resident care review meetings and provide insight into resident engagement and activity participation. Develop and implement activity-related policies and procedures as needed. Participate in continuing education to maintain certifications and introduce new and innovative programming. Compliance & Quality Support Ensure departmental compliance with federal and state regulations, with a primary focus on Skilled Nursing Facility requirements. Assist with survey preparation and participate in annual and complaint surveys conducted by ISDH and other regulatory agencies. Identify and report areas of potential deficiency to the Administrator or designee.
