About The Position

The Activities Coordinator at Sweet Water at Largo is responsible for creating, planning, and implementing life enrichment programs that cater to the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents through various engaging activities and events.

Requirements

• Experience in planning and implementing activities for seniors or similar populations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents.

Nice To Haves

• Background in recreational therapy or a related field.
• Experience in event planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual programs that promote each resident's quality of life.
• Develop, lead, and facilitate recreational programs for one-on-one and group settings that ensure resident satisfaction.
• Plan, organize, and implement resident outings and special events.
• Develop, lead, and facilitate intergenerational programs.
• Create and distribute a monthly Life Enrichment Calendar.
• Facilitate monthly Resident Council Meetings.
• Tastefully decorate the community for holidays and events.
• Plan and host community events for residents and families, coordinating with other departments.
• Order life enrichment supplies within the department budget.
• Inspire and motivate staff through consistent leadership, supervision, and coaching.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Perform any other duties as requested, within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
