About The Position

The Activities Coordinator/Transporter for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians is responsible for planning and organizing activities that cater to the cultural, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of Tiny Home residents. This role also includes providing transportation services for residents to various appointments and events, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Two years of related experience working with clients.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedural manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to solve practical problems in various situations.
• Must have a minimum of two years documented recovery from substance or chemical dependency issues.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in Native American community preferred.
• Food Handler Certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activities for residents that promote better choices and self-determination.
• Create a monthly activities calendar and flyers for the Village.
• Encourage participation in activities within the village and community.
• Coordinate logistics for scheduled activities, including location, equipment, and food.
• Assist in setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and equipment for programs.
• Order and maintain supplies for activity programs according to budget.
• Maintain an organized and sanitary program environment.
• Provide safe and timely transportation for clients to appointments and events.
• Support other positions within the department as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
