Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or one year related experience required for new hires, effective April 2014
  • Have two years-experience in a social or recreational program within the past 5 years, one year was fulltime in a healthcare setting, or
  • Be an occupational therapist, art therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, recreation therapist or occupational therapist assistant, or
  • Have satisfactorily completed at least 36 hours of training in a course designated for this position.
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

  • The Activity Coordinator coordinates the responsibilities for directing the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the activities program, with the direction of the Department Director.
  • This position coordinates and provides recreational and activity programs for the Subacute Unit.
