About The Position

The Activities Coordinator at Beacon Specialized Living New Jersey, Inc. is responsible for planning and coordinating engaging programs and events for residents with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs. Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning, preferably in assisted living or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Must have IDD and Autism experience
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
• Proficiency in organizing and executing events and activities
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with varying needs
• Understanding of the disabled care principles and best practices
• Experience in planning activities for individuals in a home community care setting

Nice To Haves

• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

• Develop and implement a diverse range of activities to cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
