About The Position

The Activities Attendant supports recreation programs and facility operations at Lenexas Old Town Activity Center by providing customer service, supervising activities and events, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Schedule: This is a variable, year-round position. Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on programming needs. Position Summary: Under the general guidance of the Recreation Specialist, the Activities Attendant supports birthday parties, events, and recreation programs by preparing spaces, monitoring gymnasium areas, enforcing facility rules, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to communicate clearly with participants, parents, and staff
• Ability to provide positive customer service
• First Aid/AED Certification required within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and supervision during programs, parties, and events
• Open, close, and monitor gymnasium and activity spaces
• Set up, adjust, clean, and tear down equipment, tables, and chairs
• Monitor participants to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Enforce facility, equipment, and program rules
• Complete required reports and documentation
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies
• Administer First Aid and CPR when necessary
• Assist with facility-wide events and other facility needs
