Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Excellent customer service skills to manage challenging situations with residents and families.
• Effective oral communication skills to convey information clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong planning and time management skills to maximize productivity.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
• Knowledge of recreational programming for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Social Networking Director in developing and implementing activity programs for residents.
• Organize, implement, and supervise activities based on residents' interests.
• Plan a weekly community newsletter.
• Visit residents to determine their preferences for programs.
• Encourage resident participation in scheduled activities.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist with the transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
• Facilitate coordination between the Activities Department and other departments.
• Maintain a reference library of activity materials.
