About The Position

A Life Engagement Assistant is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating a program of therapeutic recreational activities for residents. This role involves establishing, promoting, and supporting programs that foster enjoyment and overall wellness among residents. The Life Engagement Assistant will consult with other departments to implement appropriate activities for residents and assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments. Additionally, this position may occasionally involve responsibility for resident transportation and assisting in the preparation of the monthly Community newsletter.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CPR Certified.
• Valid State of Residence Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in Senior Living.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic recreational activities for residents.
• Establish and promote programs that foster enjoyment and overall wellness.
• Consult with other departments to implement appropriate activities for residents.
• Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments.
• Occasionally responsible for resident transportation.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly Community newsletter.
