About The Position
Vasona Creek Healthcare is a warm, resident-centered skilled nursing community dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. We’re looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. The Activities Assistant supports the Activity Director in planning and implementing recreational, social, and therapeutic programs for residents. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, outgoing, and enjoys working with seniors in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to assist residents safely and professionally
- Must pass background and health screenings according to state regulations
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activities and special events
- Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement as needed
- Help transport residents to and from activities
- Document participation and report observations to the Activity Director
- Set up and clean activity areas
- Follow all safety and infection-control policies
