About The Position
The Life Enrichment Assistant role at American House is a full-time position focused on bringing energy, compassion, and creativity to residents' daily lives. This role is crucial in helping residents live life to the fullest, both within and outside the community. Approximately 25% of the time will be dedicated to transportation, ensuring residents safely reach appointments, outings, and engaging events. This position offers a chance to bring joy, connection, and purpose, making a difference by enriching lives and making someone smile every day.
Requirements
- A clean driving record and confidence driving a 14-passenger bus.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
- A creative, organized, and team-oriented approach.
- Comfort using technology like iPads and scheduling tools.
- Availability to work Saturdays and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive our 14-passenger bus for group outings, personal appointments, and community events.
- Assist in planning and leading engaging programs that nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
- Welcome new residents and help them feel at home.
- Capture great moments for our community TV displays and social media.
- Coordinate volunteers and support weekend activities.
- Keep our community festive by helping with seasonal and holiday décor.
- Represent American House with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
