Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or activity coordination are a plus
• Previous experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare or community setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for organizing engaging activities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and ability to handle emergency situations if necessary

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and needs of participants
• Assist in developing activity schedules and programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation
• Support residents or clients in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good condition
• Document participation and feedback to evaluate and improve activity programs
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure activities align with overall care or service goals
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and engagement
