Requirements

Must maintain current CNA certification
Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and team members
Strong reading, writing, and communication skills
A cheerful personality, sense of humor, and genuine enthusiasm for working with seniors
Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to learn
Strong organizational skills, patience, and professionalism
Physical ability to lift 60–70 lbs. frequently and walk/stand throughout most of your shift
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must meet all local health regulations, including drug screening, background check, and physical exam if required
Commitment to excellent attendance and dependability

Responsibilities

Assist in assessing resident interests and needs to personalize daily activities
Help provide engaging, therapeutic programs that support physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being
Participate in creating activity calendars and monthly newsletters
Support residents during on-site events and accompany them on outings
Assist with wheelchair transportation and event setup
Maintain accurate records and assist with community outreach and fundraising efforts
Collaborate with the Activities Director and care team to create memorable experiences
