Requirements

Previous experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging seniors in meaningful activities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards seniors
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or activity planning are a plus

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist the recreational activities coordinator in planning and implementing engaging programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
Facilitate daily recreational activities and entertainment sessions from 4pm to 8pm, seven days a week
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages socialization and participation among residents
Monitor and evaluate residents’ responses to activities, making adjustments as needed to ensure enjoyment and safety
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
Collaborate with staff and family members to support residents’ individual needs and preferences
