Activity Assistant (Part-Time) – Every Other Weekend Galleria Woods – Hoover, Alabama Schedule: 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Every Other Weekend Pay Rate: $14–$18 per hour Galleria Woods, a premier LifeCare retirement community in Hoover, is seeking an energetic and creative Activity Assistant to join our team. Requirements

Associate degree preferred
At least 1 year of experience in activities, social services, recreational therapy, or a healthcare setting
Strong communication skills
Genuine passion for working with seniors

Nice To Haves

Background in music, art, or drama is a plus

Responsibilities

Engage and build relationships with senior residents
Plan and lead a variety of activities, including: Games, concerts, and exercise classes
Arts & crafts and bingo
Holiday and special event decorating
Field trips, lunch and dinner outings
Assist with creating flyers, calendars, and activity materials
Bring creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to every day
