About The Position

The Courville at Nashua-Aynsley Place is an Assisted Living Community in Nashua, NH. We are locally owned and operated and committed to providing personalized service and care. We’re looking for a Part-time Sunday-only Activities Assistant : Part-time position 9:00a-5:00p Sundays Flexible hours for the right candidate Must have experience working with people Must enjoy working with the elderly Job Description: The Activities Assistant will assist the director in planning and implementing resident activities. Additionally, the Activities Assistant will provide social and emotional support to individual residents in accordance with established standards, guidelines and regulations in regards to resident safety. Successful candidates have the ability to think independently, will be self-motivated, organized, and must have a positive, upbeat attitude.

Requirements

• Must have experience working with people
• Must enjoy working with the elderly
• Experience working with the elderly (LNA or Activities experience preferred)
• Ability to work as a team and with other departments collaboratively
• Ability to meet the physical and mental and emotional challenges of the job
• Interest in learning to move and transport residents
• Dementia training available
• Willing to help out in the Kitchen and Dining Room
• Willing to accommodate residents with physical and behavioral challenges physical

Nice To Haves

• LNA or Activities experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically run daily activities that engage our residents
• Develop new activities that appeal to the different interests of our residents
• Observe the status of residents regarding physical, emotional, social and spiritual health and report all changes in status to nursing staff
• Observe resident's rights
• Assist in evacuation of residents in an emergency
• Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Represent the facility to family and community events
• Attend in-services, as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
