We are looking for an experienced and motivated activities assistant to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. Activities assistant position details: We are hiring for the following positions: We are hiring a Part Time (20 hours/week) activities assistant. The schedule for this position will be Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 3pm - 8pm and every other weekend Saturday/Sunday from 9am - 3pm. We are hiring a Part Time (12 hours/week) activities assistant. The schedule for this position will be Tuesday/Thursday 2pm - 8pm and one Saturday or Sunday every other weekend (with a weekday off).

Nice To Haves

Experience in organizing, planning, promoting and directing cultural arts activities is preferred.
Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates in community planning for skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care related to the interests of the residents and their needs.
Coordinates transportation for trips/outings when necessary.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
Participates in resident/group council meetings when/if requested and provides support service to such councils.
Supervises cultural arts activities programming.
Encourages residents to participate in programs.
