About The Position

The Assistant Program and Outreach Director (Activities Assistant) at The Retreat at Loganville is responsible for supporting the delivery of resident-centered activities that enhance the wellness of seniors. This role integrates various dimensions of wellness into daily activities, ensuring that residents engage in emotional, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual pursuits. The position requires collaboration with care associates and involves direct interaction with residents, particularly in memory care settings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Job-related experience preferred in a senior living community.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and associates.
• Knowledge and experience in the Assisted Living industry and Dementia care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day delivery of resident-centered activities.
• Facilitate a variety of personalized activities that promote wellness.
• Recognize changes in resident conditions and take appropriate action.
• Assist residents to and from activity rooms as necessary.
• Engage residents in life skills and enriching activities in memory care.
• Document pertinent information regarding residents' physical and behavioral changes in communication logs.
• Maintain activity areas in an orderly manner.
• Assist with the care of any animals or plants within the activities program.
• Maintain an inventory of activity supplies, games, and crafts.
