About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience working in an activity department preferred.
• Strong computer skills for patient data entry and notes.
• Effective communication skills in English; bilingual abilities preferred.
• Valid California or Nevada Driver's license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Clean driving record as shown by DMV printout.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistently exceptional care to residents at all times.
• Support the activities and recreational program in a safe and sensitive manner.
• Coordinate scheduled daily group activities effectively.
• Assist in developing new activities to stimulate and encourage residents.
• Visit bed-bound residents and fulfill their requests as needed.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents of all levels.
• Set priorities safely and effectively while being self-motivated.
• Keep residents and families informed of progress and focus on customer service needs.
• Follow infection prevention measures during activities with residents.
• Monitor and ensure timely and accurate documentation in resident medical records.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop new activities based on resident needs.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies regarding attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as necessary to meet departmental needs.
