About The Position

Activities Assistant/CNA Proudly Serving Those Who Served! Winner 2024 & 2025 Best Nursing Home in Rutherford County! We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant/CNA to join our team and assist in planning and organizing engaging activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults and a creative mindset to develop stimulating activities that promote social interaction and enhance overall well-being. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to implement a variety of programs and events that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant active license is required.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with resident activities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred and previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating a wide range of activities and events for residents, both on-site and off-site.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop monthly activity calendars that reflect the needs, preferences, and abilities of our residents.
  • Lead and facilitate group activities, such as games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, music sessions, and outings.
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to residents who require additional help or accommodation during activities
