About The Position

Activity Assistant/Bus Driver Opportunity at Brownsburg Meadows Assisted Living Part-time, 20 hours a week! The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities. The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued. Skills Needed: Creativity : Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities. Supportive Presence : Being able to truly connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs. Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents. Cooperating closely with the care team to support residents holistically. Time Management : Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence
  • Must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
  • Good standing and current Operator's License.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
