About The Position

Lorien Taneytown is looking to hire a Part Time Activities Assistants to join their team. The Activities Assistant helps plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational and social activities that enhance residents’ quality of life and promote emotional, social, and physical well‑being. The ideal candidate is creative, fun‑loving, enthusiastic and enjoys bringing smiles to others. Lorien Taneytown is a Nursing Home and Assisted Living community nestled in Carroll County, Maryland, offering a full continuum of care, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, and both inpatient and outpatient therapy. The campus is also home to Flicks Pub, a restaurant and a favorite gathering spot for residents, families, and the local community. Requirements

Part Time hours available
Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)

Responsibilities

Be enthusiastic, creative, resourceful, and positive team members
Follow a daily activities calendar designed to engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities
Lead and assist with a wide range of activities, including: Games and group activities, Live performers and entertainment, Themed parties and special events, Arts and crafts, Discussion groups and social engagement
Encourage resident participation while promoting inclusion, dignity, and fun
Support residents’ emotional, social, and overall well‑being through meaningful engagement
