Activities Aide Part-time PM Shift
About The Position
When you're a patient, games, music, and engagement can be the highlight of your day. At Frankfort Terrace, we know that emotional well-being is just as important as clinical care — and that’s where you come in. We’re seeking an Activity Aide to engage residents in a therapeutic program in our behavioral health facility. This is not a therapist's position, but you will help residents with life enrichment and entertainment to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs while they are with us. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports, culture, music, and traditional recreational activities, to help bring joy, structure, and stimulation to those in our care.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prior experience as an activity aide in a long-term care facility preferred
- Must have computer knowledge
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging daily activities, ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
- Create stimulating cognitive and memory retention events for long-term residents
- Contribute to programs that keep short-term patients motivated and engaged
- Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to individualize programming
