About The Position

Lorien Taneytown is seeking a Part Time Activities Assistant to join their team. This role involves planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational and social activities to enhance residents’ quality of life and promote their emotional, social, and physical well-being. The ideal candidate is creative, fun-loving, enthusiastic, and enjoys bringing smiles to others. Lorien Taneytown is a Nursing Home and Assisted Living community located in Carroll County, Maryland, offering a full continuum of care including skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, and both inpatient and outpatient therapy. The campus also features Flicks Pub, a restaurant and gathering spot for residents, families, and the local community. Enthusiastic, creative, resourceful, and positive team member
Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)

Responsibilities

Follow a daily activities calendar designed to engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities
Lead and assist with a wide range of activities, including: Games and group activities, Live performers and entertainment, Themed parties and special events, Arts and crafts, Discussion groups and social engagement
Encourage resident participation while promoting inclusion, dignity, and fun
Support residents’ emotional, social, and overall well-being through meaningful engagement
