About The Position

The Activity Aide will be responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, and educational programs for residents in a long-term care facility. The Activity Aide will work under the direction of the Activity Director to ensure that programs are designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. Montello Care Center is a non-profit nursing home that has long been the community leader in helping people get back to feeling their best. We are also Marquette County’s only skilled nursing provider. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, comprehensive and effective long-term and short- term clinical support to the elderly and those with long-term disabilities requiring skilled day-to- day nursing care. Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, and educational programs for residents
  • Assist in the coordination of special events and outings
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and events
  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity areas
  • Document resident participation in activities and events
  • Assist in the maintenance of activity equipment and supplies
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director
