Activities Aide
About The Position
Galleria Woods is seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Part-Time Activity Aide to support their Life Enrichment team. This role plays an important part in enhancing the daily lives of both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residents through engaging, meaningful activities. The Activity Aide will implement a variety of programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and overall well-being. This person will work closely with residents, families, and team members to ensure activities are enjoyable, inclusive, and person-centered.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in activities OR experience as a Resident Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) OR a student pursuing a nursing, physical, occupational or recreational therapist.
- A passion for working with seniors in a long-term care setting.
- Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about engaging residents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assist assisted living and skilled nursing residents with participation and adapt activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Implement scheduled activities for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residents.
- Encourage resident participation and adapt programming to meet varying abilities.
- Assist with activity set-up, clean-up, and maintaining supplies.
- Engage residents one-on-one when needed.
- Support Life Enrichment team with special events.
