About The Position
Autumn Woods Healthcare Facility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Aide to join our team. This role is essential in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents, particularly those in memory care. As an Activities Aide, you will have the unique opportunity to build relationships with residents and contribute to their overall well-being through various activities that cater to their interests and needs. The position is designed for individuals who may have little to no prior experience but possess a genuine desire to serve the elderly population. In this role, you will assist the resident activity director in organizing and participating in person-specific activity programming. This includes facilitating one-on-one interventions, small group activities, and large group presentations. You will utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation, fostering a sense of community within the facility. Activities may include pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and other creative approaches to engage residents. You will also be responsible for maintaining records of activities and attendance, as well as preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
