About The Position
14554 – ActiveMQ / Artemis Migration Developer (remote) – West Palm Beach, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: remote, but prefer a few days onsite per week Required: Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in West Palm Beach, FL (required); Software development experience (5+ years) Experience with ActiveMQ Classic (3+ years) Experience with ActiveMQ Artemis (2+ years) Experience in Java development Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) Experience with Git version control Experience working in Agile teams Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred: Experience with JMS and messaging protocols (AMQP/MQTT) Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Migrate messaging configurations, queues, topics, and integrations from ActiveMQ Classic to Artemis Work with Dev Team to update and refactor Java client applications for Artemis compatibility Validate message flow performance, reliability, and stability Collaborate with IT and Hydro teams across the full SDLC Provide weekly status updates and documentation of work completed Support a major modernization effort Update client applications, and ensure a smooth transition across environments
